The newest in LOCAL ANALYSIS

A ground-laying activity of the CREATIVE METROPOLES project is the local analysis conducted in each partner city. The aim of the local fact-finding is to identify the policies applied locally in support of creative industries as well as to collect good practices in the key areas the project addresses (overall support architecture, support for business development and internationalisation, creative city districts, funding for creative industries, demand for creative industries' outputs).

The team of cities in the project are assited by a group of researchers (lead by Tallinn University, Ms Silja Lassur silja@eti.ee), which have developed a template for the local analysis and will also make an analysis of the data gathered by the cities in order to draw overall conclusions. The research team will also assist in organising the experience exchange events (3 joint events and approx 22 partner-to-partner visits).

At this stage of the project (April 2009), all partner cities have launched local analysis - the first outputs are expected on 15 June.

Attached you will find the presentations by the research team made during the Kick-off Meeting in Oslo in March 2009 as well as the template for local analysis. Please note that cities often supplement this template with additional research questions they are specifically interested in.
