Creative Metropoles knowledge base
Experience exchange is organised into 5 key areas:
1. Structure of public support for creative industries
2. Business capacity and internationalisation within creative industries
3. Space for activities by creative industries and creative city districts as creative incubators
4. Funding schemes for creative industries
5. Demand for the outputs of creative industries, including municipalities in the role of consumers
The activities include a study to map creative industries' policies in the participating cities and identifying existing good practices forming the basis for the joint thematic experience. The project involves exchange events and study visits where the fields of interest are explored in more detail at the partner municipalities. The project facilitates the development of local creative industries’ support strategies and business plans for creative city districts. The experience exchange activities will be supported by information and communication activities, including a project website, production and dissemination of a project newsletter, publications. This is also supported by participation in larger scale dissemination events to share the results achieved within the project. A series of key joint policy recommendations on best practice for creative cities will be developed and disseminated culminating in an international conference in 2011.
